I sent a check back to a sponsor telling them I'm uncomfortable cashing it

I sent a check back to a large well known gay sponsor telling them I'm uncomfortable cashing a check that has a porno name on it, and I asked them to please send me a different check with a less attention grabbing name, or just write a personal check. Whatever.

No response, lol. No email or anything.
Looks like I got fucked, lol. Its a small amount so I dont care that much, I just hate that kind of arrogance and carelessness this large sponsor shows against their affiliates.

But I think it's funny when you read their affiliate program's contact form, they go into how they value their affiliates and are so glad to have you aboard promoting them.
Then you tell them you dont want the bank knowing you work in porn and they blow you off. :err:

if the Teller at the bank knows the name that means they like porn as well & if they don't know well they don't know
unless of course the company is BigHotcocks.com :extat:

Is the company's name graphic? As in like "CockSmokingButtholeBoys LLC" or somethin?
Or just a porn kinda name that someone would have to already know about to know that they're porn?

No offense, but people that work in this industry and take stances like this make me chuckle. While, I do agree that a sponsor should use a business name that is somewhat generic, I also think that people that work in this industry should grow some balls (figuratively, of course) and realize that there is some amount of risk involved in this business. If you live in a small town where everyone is nosey, and you're uncomfortable with people knowing what you do, then maybe you shouldn't be in this particular business.

Or move, or something...

besides, how can you not enjoy seeing the teller get all uncomfortable, or interested? lol

some banks will terminate your account if they know you're adult. other than that... well, i know some people are uncomfortable, but i happily deposited my checks from stiffycash and rawlikesushi ;)

I dont feel that everyone who works in porn full or part time should uproot their lives and move to a major city because a sponsor is too cheap, stupid and careless to mail checks that sound like a normal corporation, and doesn't care about the privacy of their affiliates. But to each his own.

Not everyone can afford to, or wants to live in SF, LA, or NYC.

actually some of the l.a. b of a's will can your account if they find out that you work in porn. it happened to silvercash.

btw, i'm imagining anal cash as the name on the check now ;)

Would be interesting to know who the sponsor was.

If you dont want to name them, just post their first name initials ;)

Washington Mutual is amazing. Not only is my account manager a Big Flamin' Mary Card Carryin Homo, but they constantly ask how business is when I'm depositing piles of checks with blatant adult business names.

My Account Manager found out who we were when he saw the Badpuppy check. His eyes lit up as big as saucers. He might as well have been getting a hummer under the counter.

Maybe I'm missing something but don't most people deposit checks through an ATM? I assume the checks are then routed to a processing plant somewhere (maybe Fresno or India) where some minimum-wage-slave, who's supposed to process 5,000 checks each hour, punches the numbers into a giant computer.

I look forward to the day when we don't have paper checks anymore. Of course they may be replaced by human implant tracking devices so the news is not all good.

i mostly deposit through the atm. why stand in a line?

that being said, read your bank's terms and conditions. certain b of a's (not all of them, by far) can and WILL term you without prejudice. their tos allow that, and you have to sign it before you can open an account. i've heard of other banks doing that, but mostly b of a.

Ahahahaha that's fucking classic. It's a similar experience when I go into Safeway a couple nights a week. The checkout counter guys all know what I do for a living, and they also ask me how business is. LOL

When I walk in, they usually all stop and say "Heyyyyyy!!" when I walk by. hahahaha
