How Do You Manage Your Traffic Flow?

When it comes to the surfers hitting your websites, how do you ensure that you are sending them where you want them to go in terms of the programs you are promoting and how much you are being paid for each join you send?

Do you have a filtering structure in place to ensure that you are making more money from your sponsor programs when a surfer is hitting their websites quicker than if they are digging deeper in to your site or are you primarily focused on getting traffic to your site and not concerned about how much and how quickly you are making money off that traffic?
