I see a lot of video in websites around 320x240 or a little bigger, but
lately i have been seeing larger videos cropping up more. What size or
sizes are the videos in your site? Have you experimented with different
sizes to see if it improves your member retention?
i've had my eye on some larger stuff lately... i know i liked to watch them bigger, so i figure that members will feel the same. stuff like the trailer on allamericanguys is so much bigger than the average porn video...
I know it sounds weird but, the movies that we use are whatever size the provider gives us them in LOL
Ive never really tried my hand at movie editing stuff although, im going to be doing some screengrabs from DVDs later this month.

It's always about the size isn't it?
Been doing a lot of 512x384 lately.
Vegas Video can actually take a smaller vid & with just the right amount of tweaking give a pretty nifty bigger sized vid.
512x384 looks so great!

And, to my understanding, it's about 50/50 now between broadband and dialup as far as the net goes..so, it's a draw I think right now when it comes to retention and new members..but EVENTUALLY, if you REALLY want to play the game right, you're gonna have to go with the big frames.
i was working with a program earlier this year, and stats showed something that surprised me - a very hefty number of people were downloading our dialup clips.
i wasn't expecting this - i somehow figured that dialup users wouldn't join porn sites.
go figure!
we've always had two sizes of video. we offer one size for broadband users
and one for dialup users. i am considering larger sizes for future
endeavors as it is easy to see the draw.
