I've been hearing good things about sorenson squeeze. i've been told it's
fast, easy to use, and makes nice small videos. do you consider that
sorenson lives up to what i've heard?

i tried the demo, and it totally rocked! it's on my "things to get myself for my birthday" list. i especially liked how small it made flash videos, and how good they looked.
I's my major office tool these days.
virtually every Fratmen video posted in the last few months was made with it... it's the best tool there is for encoding clips.
Jasun Mark. Crass of the Titans.
basement, the videos at fratmen are gorgeous, and Jasun is a video pro.
yea its great i tried it after a note on a previous thread and i loved it. I have the full ver. now. A++++++++++ :extat:
To add to that thought...
There is at least two cards with on-board chips to help with the encoding process that really does help.
Osprey (www.viewcast.com)
Stream (www.digital-rapids.com)
Osprey does an okay job
Stream does a really cool job.
We started out using Osprey but we really need to reduce CPU resources, do a better de-interlace, and reduce the file size as much as we could.
The onboard encoder, de-interlace, and filters really helped. We were able to take a 1000 Kbps to a 750 Kbps with no visable difference. It really really helps and having hardware assist your PC helps in reducing time and increasing how many projects you can do.
But...I'm going to take my latest attempt and put it therough Sorenson and see what happens. The smaller the file the better....just so the quality remains.

after i get all moved into my new place, i'm going to download sorenson and
see how it works for me.
