how the republicans make porn look bad

"One such zealot is Trueman, who was one of the three witnesses at Sen. Sam Brownback's "Obscenity Prosecution and the Constitution" hearing on March 16. Since Trueman's leaving the Department of Justice in the early 1990s, he has worked for several pro-censorship organizations, including the FRC and AFA.

"The problem is, for the pornographers, most of those films have no records whatsoever," Trobee quoted Trueman as saying. "That allows the FBI to charge with a crime the seller of that material as well as the producer." "

like it wasn't a crime before the changes in 2257 - what an asshole.

read the article - it's a shame the lies the public are told, and the misleading information they are being fed.

I do not believe you can make porn look bad to anyone outside of our target market. Comments like his are directed towards ultra conservatives and certain women, but they hate porn no matter what anyway.

The most stuff like this does is push porn consumers deeper into the closet. It's one of those things the very vast majority of guys with an internet connection check out, but would never admit to it.

I'll point to this example as a flawed study.....

    http://www.moralityinmedia.org/obsce...t/wirthlin.htm

They called people on the phone and asked, "Do you think federal obscenity laws against hard-core pornography should be vigorously enforced, or not?"

Now I'm thinking that if someone gets a random call like that, they are going to say yes even if they love porn due to the perceived social stigma that comes with admitting you view it. So it's no surprise that 80% of their respondents were allegedly against porn. 87% women, 72% men.

Had this been a truly anonymous survey, you'd likely see less than 10-15% of men against it.

"...federal obscenity laws against hard-core pornography..."

I bet if you were to interview many of those people who said "yes" to the question you'd find they assumed the question referred to things such as CP, bestiality, rape, etc. "Obscene," of course, describes the stuff that get's *you* off but turns me off (like sex with girls...ick).

Here's how I would phrase the question:

"Do you believe government should dictate and prohibit the kinds of sexual material adults can view in the privacy of their own homes?"

    Guilty...

    Food for thought...

Why is it up to the Adult Industry to "prove" that we are legal?

Why isn't it up to the Government to "prove" that we are illegal?

Here's a "fine" example that makes people laugh!

This all came about as a result of 4 individuals (actors/models) being in porn films that were still minors over the past years.

    Now....

The government is saying that studios/producers must get a picture id and other personal information and keep that on file.

Well now... let's see... the studio/producers DID get a picture id from these 4 particular individuals and look what happened!!!!

And all the government wants is for the studio/producers to get is one picture id?????????? !!!!!!!WOW!!!!!!

Makes sense to me How about you?

    My thought... "dumbasses"
