If there is hardcore images on the banners they have to have a link to 2257 docs from my understanding. I am little confused on banners. Can I put a star in front of the hardcore part on banners or do they have to be redone so they are non x rated? Thanks for your help.

mark, this isn't an issue of censoring - a minor can appear in hardcore pics, and censoring won't change that. this is a question of keeping records for all sexually explicit images to prove no minors are in them - whether they are censored or not.
Maybe this is a stupid question... so what is everybody gonna do about sponsor banners? Are you going to make your own for each sponsor with your own models and put a 2257 link under each with a font that is no smaller than the 2nd largest font on the page? Or are you just going to use text links?
And will you all just delete all of your old free sites, AVS sites and galleries or will you just go and fix them all to make them compliant?
Very good question..not stupid at all. I think you're going to have to with text links..at least in short run. It's going to take some time to use your own models for those..so I think people will be doing just text.
As for free sites, etc..I think that's "adios" to them imho.
Xstr8guy - seems like most affiliate programs will be working to crank out non explicit banners. i can't speak for anyone else, but i'm deleting over 1000 galleries, 200 avs sites, and 4 free sites. i'm gonna miss them *sob*
i think we'll see an upswing of sites like guys in underwear, guys in speedos, plenty of new toon sites, and so on. these sites will be 100% non explicit, or at least all their promo materials will be. also vintage gay porn like at the posing strap is exempt. hopefully we'll see more great vintage sites
We have a solid plan to aid in affiliates when it comes to promoting sponsors using their banner which should be revealed sometime in the next month
This is actually a really simple solution we are surprised nobody has put it in to practise already
