How does the new 2257 Jumbo Puzzle translate to the posting of images by users? That is obviously guided by free speech...
eg. photo rating sites... msn groups..... personal profiles on personal sites?

Yes, I interesting at same thing.
I based at Europe, but hosting at usa.
Is I am under this law or not?
Just cannot believe what too many dating/photopost sites will be dead at moment.
Tom, You thinking of posting some nudie pics online for us or something
AGS, Being in Europe you have no need to follow these new regulations
Regards,
Lee
Lee, might clear the board if i did that!
Nah, just wondering how far reaching this 2257 is going to be. If a user self posts a picture of himself masturbating on a photo rating site, or a yahoo group....or lets say the camera guys who perform on personal camera sites....that make money from upsells .....
Does the self posting user have to give the website he posted on copies of his id? The website is acting as a secondary producer according to this latest 2257 and therefore should have to keep records on each person posting?
just trying to sort out all the crazy "what if" thoughts that come to mind as it relates to this new version of 2257...
For the user-pic posting sites, with the new regs, I think it boils down to whether or not the site owner could reasonably manage the explicit pic content. If so and it is a commercial site, the 2257 record-keeping requirements would apply. This will certainly crimp any personals sites that exercise any editorial control over the profiles and ads.
user pics like that were already not legal, so no real changes there.
