Oh, I wanted to thank Ounique for selling their $5 pre 1995 sets for $50 a set now on the straight side. You want us to help you pay for your programming and then gouge us for 2257 exempt photosets, that's just plain lame. I don't blame Don Mike for jumping that ship.

Greetings:
Keep in mind, that if you don't have a NOTARIZED statement from the producer of the content, attesting to the fact that it was made pre-1995, it isn't compliant.
Hopefully FSC kicks some ass, and we won't have to worry about this muck for long...
i want to stress what JustMe says - if you read the Sec. 75.7 Exemption statement http://my.execpc.com/~xxxlaw/2257Tables5.24.05.htm
you will see that this is NOT the new law, but has always been the law.
you can either act as custodian for the i.d. or you MAY get certification regarding the dates the videos were made. read the section above the exemptions with the exemption statement, and it becomes a lot clearer.
i was bummed because i was going to start a classic porn site, and now i'm very sad.
Thank you JustMe and Basschick for pointing that out. It does throw a fly or two in the ointment.
Let's hope the FSC can get the restraining order or injunction but I'm not counting on it. I'm not counting on the administration to stop going after adult any way they can.
I'm not going to gut my site and try to make it compliant. That is worse than shutting it down. My partner will not let me be in "open defiance" of these new regulations. He does not want to make us a target. I feel like fighting this but I have to make a living.
The only thing left for me is to start over and make my own content. Softcore, (no actual sexually explicit content), exempt from 2257 with the discerning eye of a prudish DOJ attorney.
I hate like hell to have to take my site down but I can't put myself and little family in harms way. I'm thinking sports themed, guys climbing rocks with some balls hanging out, simulated locker room flashing, bike shorts way too tight, up shorts, mmm. i could get into this.

Ounique has a load but, as you have already noticed, they hiked the price up quite significantly (the fucks).
You might want to try http://www.worldwidecontent.com a few of their movie titles are pre '95 and therefore, should be somewhat exempt from the 2257 regs
Regards,
Lee
Oh, back from a much needed weekend breather. Thanks Lee for the info. I will check out World Wide Content and see if they have anything available. As I read more and more about the new regulations, it seems to be harder and harder to make them workable in their current form for anyone.
