I have been busy working on some really great projects this past month. And between that after very little change we are all set, and have made the current proposed 2257 changes. So another hat into the ring...

I seriously cant beleive we have less than 24 hours for these regulations to take effect and some of the MAJOR companies in the gay side of the industry have still to make any comment about their 2257 compliance policy.

Naked Sword? Blue Loot? GMP? Gay Porn Kings? Intense Cash (Sorry Mark)?

Whats the deal with your programs and the 2257 regs? Are affiliates going to have to start pulling their links to your sites tommorrow or what?

Are you in compliance and am I ok with just a "G" rated banner to your site from my "closed" page @ http://www.queerdude.com ? Or are you just waiting to see which way the wind blows also?

yes, topbucks put out a statement, as did ars. both were last week.

ars is actually deleting a site, plus all their stuff, and making new. topbucks will make you phone them if you are being visited by law enforcement - which isn't compliant on our ends, because we have to have the records already in our hands and cross referenced by url - and we can't if we can't see the names till law enforcement is standing in front of us.

Oh, sorry, maybe they're not then. I thought I had remembered some drama, but apparently not.

And basschick is right, a lot of programs have been coming up with these really weird systems, such as remote hosting of records, and even encrypted files that they'll let you download, but you won't give you keys for unless you're under an active inspection. Talk about giving their affiliates just enough rope to hang themselves with....

Personally, I think these are all nothing more than delay tactics, as most of these programs are being advised by their attorneys that the industry will see an injunction, and the eventual overturning of these regs as a whole.

Yes I've already made a statement in another thread here regarding 2257. My site is fully compliant with the old and new regs. I have all required ID's, model releases, etc. I always have. I've been in this business 6 years now & am in it for the long term. I'm not a fly by night operation

If you've seen my posts on here the last month I've done anything BUT wait to see which way the wind blows from day 1.

One thing that we all need to remember is that personal responsibility is important and that even the best attorneys have differing views of the results of the new regs.. and even their meaning.

Last I 'member from my bad boy dayz, (meemmmooorrriiieeeessss!) it's hard to make a phone call with matching bracelets on your wrists... Is that their answer to 2257 compliance???
