Over the past few weeks we have all been aware of the new 2257 regulations that came in to effect earlier this evening at midnight EST.

Although as advised by our attorney, we are exempt from the 2257 classifications under the definitions laid out by the Department Of Justice** of a primary and secondary producer we still felt it was apt for us to adopt several new policies in respect of the type of imagery that will allow our advertising clients to display on their creatives to the GWW community members.

With that being said, our revised advertising policy now includes the following criteria:

1) No full frontal nudity.
2) No lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person.
3) No masturbation.
4) No extreme hardcore content (including sadistic or masochistic abuse).
5) No depiction of sexual intercourse (oral-genital, anal-genital, oral-anal, or genital-genital) between persons of the same or opposite sex.

Whilst in the past we have exercised editorial discretion to the types of imagery portrayed in creatives that our advertising clients use, this will also no longer be the case.

We would also like to take a moment to repost our general requirements for companies who wish to promote their sites, services and products to the GWW Community as outlined below:

Banners should be geared toward the gay market or generic. Banner dimensions – 468 x 60. Banner file size is limited to 15k. Site must be legal. (No child porn, no bootleg pics, or bestiality).

Single descriptive logo or button Icon Dimensions - 120 x 60 Icon file size is limited to 10k.

In addition, GA Media Corporation reserves the right to refuse any advertising or banner and/or refuse to link to any site which does not meet the criteria above or our interests as we have always done.

Finally, if anyone is currently considering starting a marketing campaign on the GWW Community they may contact advertising@gaywidewebmasters.com for a full rate sheet and further information regarding marketing opportunities that are available to you.

Regards,

Lee
