How Do You Know Your Pages Are Listed?

When it comes to the search engines?

Do you try to do anything in order to know that your pages have actually been listed?

For example, what we usually end up doing is placing a made up word in the metas or, on the page itself somewhere, that way, we can go to the SE's and search for that fake word that is known only by us.

So how do you check whether or not your pages actually do get listed?

    Regards,

    Lee

You can go to Google and type:

    allinurl:www.mydomain.com

and see what pops up. Of course you can get specific and type the exact URL of the page you're looking for and see if it's there.

Each search engine has an option like this, you just need to dig into the webmaser pages and find it.
