Setting up a blog. Need software recommendation

I'm setting up an information site devoted to tracking 2257 news and other censorship issues. I need recommendations for blog software.

Anyone here know anything about running a blog?

you can try http://www.movabletype.org/ - they offer a free version for single authors and its pretty easy to setup and customize.

In addition to Moveable Type, you might also want to check out WordPress.org in addition to a couple of the free stand alone scripts located over at http://www.hotscripts.com

It'll be an all-purpose anti-censorship site. I've settled on the name Nexus-Plexus.net -- after two novels from Henry Miller's "Rosy Crucifixion" trilogy.

Then again I might have to re-think the blog format because bloggers are looking at the prospect of government regulation too.
