PayPal sent me $13.42

So back about two years ago, PayPal sent me an e-mail saying they were suspending my account because of the content I was selling using their service (the content was "personal services!"). They said that, per their policy, they were holding all funds in my account for 160 days. They then said if I removed PayPal from my site they *might* give me my money sooner. I pulled PayPal from the site and they gave me the few hundred dollars in my account.

Turns out what they were doing is illegal under California law. So they got sued, lost, and are now paying out to those affected by their illegal policy.

I'm gonna try not to spend it all in one place, though lunch and a candy bar and *poof* it'll be gone.

Anyone else get a check?

hmm...i know someone who had the same problem dillmedia..i'm sure he will receive something from paypal as well.

No, using PayPal for illegal activities is a violation of their Terms of Service. I now use PayPal for only legitimate legal purposes. I am thankful to the team at PayPal for their committment to creating and maintaining an excellent service.
