what is your opinion of the mancheck animated xxxtour? do you like it, hate it, think it will sell, or turn off the customers?

i don't think it does anything for me... not sure it answers the 'call to action" requirement to make the leap from sales pitch to purchase.
I also don't even really see the pitch.

but overall, i don't think it's gonna be a big seller for them in its present form.

They've had this tour for some time. And I don't care for it at all... it's too cutesy.

But as far as AVS tours go, who actually expects the AVS to sell the site? I don't market AVS's the same way that I market regular sponsor sites. That's why we build galleries for AVS's with our own unique style and sales pitch. And we generally send the bulk of our traffic to the join page and not the tour. AVS tours are really just a last ditch effort to get a sale.

Altough I'm a MC webmaster, I don't really think this flashy-animated tour is the right sort of thing to attract new members... I mean... people want to get QUICK INFO about: what they are buying, for how long, what they get, how much it costs....

So on average, a horny surfer would most definatly skip this one, only in case he really has lots of time on his hand and likes flashy animation

It doesn't do anything for me. The dancing and moving around distracts from the real content on the little TV screen. Too cute, not enough hot.

LOL i loved it, no it didnt make me want to goto mancheck BUT i had everyone in the house watching it and laugthing, however when it was finished i asked them what site it was advertising and no one could tell me. ( I think they were all watching the growing dick)

At MANcheck we try to have a variety of things going on because we've learn that no one thing is going to grab every surfer. So we've got Flash greeting cards, a Flash XXX tour, an html tour, naked men galleries, MANcheckPlusVideo preview pages, $1.95 back-out trail, foreign language pages, web 900 sign-up, and on it goes.

Patti, the XXX Flash Tour does sell memberships. Does it sell a shitload of them? No, but it sells enough of them that we feel it was worth the time to have produced it. And like xstr8guy said, "a tour is really a last ditch attempt to 'save' the sale."

If you want to send your traffic anywhere besides the join page, I'd suggest sending it to our naked men galleries - it's content shot exclusively by us or for us.

Finally, it is disconcerting that collegeboyslive's buddies didn't know what site was being promoted by the time they got to the end of the tour. But it's good feedback to have.

this is a very smart attitude, I personally did not like it as it looked way too computer geeky to me. But then again I also don't like commercials pushing thrush meds or ultra thin tampons either. And since I am not the target audience my opinion doesn't matter on any of these things!!!
