AOL got a lot of acclaim for their live coverage of that as MTV pretty much failed.
I missed it....oops!
but I really don't agree with the whole "debt forgiveness and more aid" message they are sending out, given the levels of absolute corruption in many African governments and the proof that a lot of this aid money has been going to buying mercs and directly into swiss bank accounts. The only way to truely help those that need it in Africa is to open up the trade barriers and start buying from those small collectives which ensure that the producers of goods are the ones that get the money.
