I have a couple questions. First, do you guys get good responses from newspaper or small local entertainment papers when looking for models? Are there other methods you would suggest besides running ads, the net, and hitting the streets and bars?

Also I was wondering when shooting content if you have maybe 1 or 2 guys that are in all the videos do any of you set up contracts that pay them less per scene, but guarantee they will shoot a lot of content? Is there any type of industry standard for these guys or are they making the same amount as models that only appear in 1 scene?

Try sites like gay.com , gay personals, xy.com anywhere they can post their pic and details, drop the cute ons an e-mail, hey they can just say no

I had reasonable response to ads placed in newspaper. I used alternative weekly. I ,in fact ,did better in terms of number of no shows with the models i hired directly than i did with those from an agent.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, you might like to speak to a couple of those 'escort' agencies we had some relative success with them looking for 'standins' before.

Also, in addition to hitting the streets and bars, make sure you ALWAYS carry a couple of business cards in your wallet, i wish i had some in my wallet this weekend at Disney as quite a few of their staff were hot

i got a lot of responses for bodybuilders on craigslist, and they do seem to have nude modeling ads allowed:

why not try advertising on the craigslist for your city if there is one? it's only $25 per month, too.

I too, get a great response for people in ads that we run in newspapers around the state. The best is the ones that are free, and on college campuses. Although, I have to sort through them to find the guys that are really what we are looking for. We have cut running ads down to two weeks a month. Making sure that we run the ad the last week of the month. People are always hurting for money at the end of the month to pay rent.

I have computers that are logged into yahoo messanger with with screen names that say that I am looking for models. Then, I log into chatrooms and let the screen names bring the people to me. I also put all my info in the profiles. Most people take a look at profiles before IMing you, but not always.

Craigslist is a great way, but it is also a little harder. You have to make your ads more like a personal.

And finally, business cards to pass out to people that you see that would work. Just shopping at Target or best buy you see guys or girls working there that would work. We pass them a card, and say the money that they can make. They get crappy wages for what they work, so why not expose a little to make more. LOL

LOl I must admit i am very nervous about handing someoen a card for a gay website in a public place ( Not a gay enviroment) , how do you break the ice with them? cause they may / may not be gay ? what do you say and what does your card say ?

The card needs to be simple and needs to get their attention to want more info. Our card has our company name on the front and ways to contact us. Then, on the back of the card, it says mentions about pay, and need to be 18+, and to check out website to apply today.

Simple situation, you are at target buying more sheets for your boys to have sex on. You are walking to the front to check out. Of course, we all do it, scan the registers for the guy that is the hotest. As you go through his line, you pass him a card as you hand him your change.

"Hi, my name is John and I am a producer for a modeling company. I think that you have the look that we are going for on our site. Here take my card, and you can visit our site or give me a call and I can get you more details." Look to see if he has a name badge on or ask him his name.

Just remember that you don't want to give to much info to soon. Let them ponder the idea of how much money they could make. I am sure that would bet that Target wage. LOL
