Toons Niche

Does anyone have any suggestions on making money on gay erotic anime? Do toons tours and/or galleries sell well? How big of a niche do you think it is?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm having exclusive cartoons made for our paysites that look great, now i just need to figure out the best way to go about getting people to join the sites for them!

The gay toon niche, if done properly is a great money maker.

The problem many have with that type of content is that they dont know the market, its more than just 'toons', its anime, hentai, manga, bishojo, yaoi and a whole lot more.

Surfers looking for 'toons' imho, are a different class of surfer, they arent looking for 'porn' per say but rather 'erotic art' that in itself is more than just showing two cartoon guys fucking.

I think I'll have to do some more research on the market and the different types of anime before I dive into it, but sounds like it'll be worth it.

Lee is pretty much right on ... you need to understand the type of "toon" you have so you understand who your buyer is. Toons by their very nature run the gammut of erotic art to some serious sadistic sexual situations, as it includes sex with aliens, and characters that definately look like kids.

In toons, there's literally nothing sacred and anything goes. Hentai in particular is pretty much marketed like an extreme BDSM site for instance, where TRUE Anime would be sought after by art lovers as well as porn surfers, and you'd adjust your sales pitch based on:
1. the quality
2. rarity
3. who you're targeting.

The marketing methods used are the same as for any porn niche as far as making the free sites, galleries and so on, but the sales pitch is definately something you'll need to study a bit ... in many ways it's much dirtier and more base sounding than what photographic porn uses.

Just be careful about not naming "free sites" or gallery titles or metas with keywords used by kids to find their anime looking cartoon heroes and games.

It does seem very different from marketing pornsites, there is a lot more creativity to it then just sex. Do you think taking it from the perspective that it's an ongoing gay japanese porn graphic novel, which updates weekly, and give samples of the story and artwork in the tour would work? The artwork we are having made looks awesome and I'm working on making the story more creative too, so I think we may be on to something...I know it's a great product, just need to package it well.

In my opinion an ongoing gay japanese porn graphic novel would be awesome and I think that it would retain members better. I know thats the type of site I would really like to promote -- classy and interesting.

I've make referals on toon membership sites -- not many but with a real classy site I think I could do better referals in that niche.

If yours has regular characters and a story line, then you need to research Adult comics (comix is also used).
