how do you choose a designer?

i've worked with a lot of designers, and one that worked out great for me actually contacted me out of the blue, but usually i like to see a track record. a good portfolio is nice, because the portfolio page itself also shows the kind of work the designer does

of course, i've worked with webinc based on portfolio but also reputation. and i've also hired designers for projects based on contest entries on gfy.

so - your turn. what makes you choose a designer?

You don't have to be straight to be in the Army; you just have to be able to shoot straight. ponyboy's Avatar

Like everything else you have to check, check and recheck. You also have to ask around and fine out who other people are using. Then look and study their work. Then what comes into play the price of the design person and how long it will take to get the work.

Myself I love the work and turn around time a good friend of mine Bec at eroticbydesign dot com She’s totally awesome, and the turn around time is so fast!
