What exactly is a twink?

I suppose a lot of people might argue I should know what this is. But please forgive my ignorance and accept this as an honest question.

What exactly is a Twink? My wife things it's a man with a small penis and I think it might be a fat guy in bad need of a tan. (Twinkies are kind of round and sort of white-ish.) Hopefull it is neither and every can laugh at my stupidity.

A twink is a young gay guy between the ages of 18 and 21. Some twinks may extend beyond 21 if they look young enough. Twinks are boyish and cute. Twinks usually have little muscle development and I would say no body hair, or at least no chest hair. And I wouldn't say a twink would have facial hair either. The point of being a twink is to look as young as possible.

Hehe, that is a pretty accurate description of the basic gay niches boiled down to a single paragraph!

Of course you can have exceptions to the defintion as well. I've seen pictures of my partner when he was in his mid 20's and he was already a daddy way back then. Just like some 19 year old guys are never twinks and some young guys are bears.
