I’m huckin out a big old GOOD DAY to all.

How was your weekend … what did you do? Anything naughty and new? How about something dirty?

For me, it was another typical weekend:

(Friday & Saturday)
- quickly stuff the backpack; load-up the car and head for the hills (500KM).
- pitch tent, by some babbling creek, and enjoy an awesome sleep.
- wake; carbo load; stuff the daypack full of clothes, water, GORP, gel packs, 6-meter kite as well other 'treats' and head for the final destination, Mount Wilcox's trailhead (Columbia Ice Fields/Saskatchewan Crossing).
- start scramble at 1125am (+5-10degree; 25-30KM wind).
- reach the summit (9,462 feet) at 2:25pm (+22-27; 35-40KM wind); sign the book; load-up with liquids; have a quick *cough*.
- run down, quickly.
- back at the car by 425pm (5-hours).
- walk over to glacier fed creek and rid my body of all that salt … brr!

It was not a bad moderate-scramble (many exposed areas). It is similar to the type of scramble that I would normally do at the start of the warmer season, to get me into shape, but as this was a reconnoitring trip, for the coming winter season (kite-skiing and backcountry trips/winter camping), it suited me just fine (my body is screaming at me begging for a rest).

(Sunday)
A lazy day:
- morning cycle, maybe 30KM
- clean car and gear from trip
- clean house while doing laundry
- go to the matinee showing of ‘Aristocrats’ (eh, it was okay)
- basic maintenance on my cycle (lube)
- evening ride 10KM

Tonight, I think I will treat my body to a long sleep.
