Is It Just Me Or Has Adult Orientated Spam Dropped?

By about 50% while non-adult related spams have risen?

I used to get bombarded with spam for various straight paysites, now it seems im being spammed for products like dog cleaners, stock and shares, vacations and gaming.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Not at all -- If anything its increased to several of my domains and personal ISP addys.

But I am also getting an increase in Stocks, and Viagra spams LOL -- Partially the time of the year perhaps?

I sign into webmail every so often and see quite a few actually - it just seems my spam blocker catches most of it these days

My spam seems to have doubled in the last few weeks, including some new ones I haven't seen before like discount Rolex watches! Same old str8 porn spam, tho.

Bulk of my spam lately has been for mortgaging - bugs the hell out of me they have my full name and home address too.

The one today for a discount on ordering my christmas cards kind of blew me out though ... LOL

Wasn't there a press release in the past two weeks something along the lines of "adult content spam at lowest level in years?"

I haven't been getting very much adult spam anymore either--a year ago I felt as if I answered every advert that promised a longer penis I would get an 8 foot long joystick. Today I get a few cialis and viagra ads, but very little porn spam.

I read an article in yesterday's paper saying that spam has been reduced over the last 6 months thanks to spam blocking software plus spam is becoming a very ineffective method of advertising as most people are used to just deleting those emails without even looking at them.

Its a big change from a year ago when there was predictions of increasing spam, some were saying that it would get up to 80-90% of all email traffic.

Personally, I still get a huge amount of daily spam but outlook 2003 traps about 98% of it so I only have to quickly review my junk mail folder while deleting them.
