Malaysian Arrested With Porn in Buttocks

SINGAPORE -- Border agents arrested a Malaysian man who tried to smuggle suspected pornographic video disks in his underwear into Singapore, the government said.

Officers did a full-body search of the man after he was allegedly caught with contraband cigarettes at a border crossing with Malaysia, the Immigrations and Customs Authority said on its Web site Wednesday.

While frisking the man, police found two video CDs and two DVDs lodged between his buttocks, the authority's Web site said. The Web site described the videos as "suspected to be uncensored and obscene."

Immigration authorities handed over the suspected drugs to the Central Narcotics Bureau while the disks were referred to police for further investigation.

Singapore bans the sale and possession of pornography. Importing pornography carries a one-year prison sentence upon conviction for a first offense. Possession of pornography carries a six-month prison sentence upon conviction for a first offense.

It is not immediately clear when the man would be charged.

Don't know if you feel better about living in the USA or depressed about living on a planet that is so fucked up that you have to be happy it isn't worse...I mean, why do we have to choose between the best of 2 evils (sounds like the last 50 elections for President doesn't it)!! Well it's amazing to say the least. I agree with regarding humanity.

Some would say that since the dawn of man those in power have tried to control the sexual, and reproductive, lives of those under them. Arranged marriages, abortion laws, even down to the positions that you were allowed to have sex in!

Nevertheless I'm STILL shocked as we are supposed to be so advanced in a world that still seems so archaic. I guess, if you really analyze the situation, it was only a generation ago that things were very different, and the generation before that was even worse.

Even though the world is progressing, we have only begun to take even the first step to where the world needs to be in the end regarding sexuality: sexual freedom for all, including the right to express yourself sexually.

This will take a lot of time as the more freedom an individual claims, the more control they take away from someone else, and that's very threatening for those who strive to control the masses. Don't be fooled. No one person in ANY nation is truly free.

The same could certainly be said about the US government. Don't think for a second the christian right in the US wouldn't criminalize porn if they could.

That said, I've been to Singapore, where it is practically illegal to be gay and of course porn is illegal...yet they have sex toy shops, they have prostitutes, and they even have gay discos and sex clubs. I've learned to stop judging countries by the people who purport to 'lead' them.
