Auto Player/Speed Detect PHP script

I'm wondering if anyone uses or knows of a PHP script that will auto-detect a user's video player and bandwidth so that when they come to a web page with video, the video will start playing automtatically without them having to choose their player and speed?

If you have this or know where to find it, please advise.

I can see if it is Windows Media Player that it might be detected from the browser used but I don't know if all browsers contain the default video player information as part of it's settings.......but perhaps it might have to as you can select the default media player and this will come up everytime you download a clip..... hmmm.

As many users do not always set the media player default would this be a good option, or would it simply be another stumbling block for the surfer to have to figure out in order to play the videos? If you used this type of script and no media player was default, then you would have to also present the manual selection option as well.....

I'm in favor of automation, when it's on the "website operator" side of things" but generally believe that keeping it simple for the surfer, i.e. the least amount of potential hurdles to getting to the porn...is better..

'course, then again, by the next post, someone with incredibly more knowledge on this will educate us both...
