a lot of beloved pets have been abandoned due to katrina. many of these loyal companions are being shot, and more will starve or die in other ways. a lot of people tried to take their pets, many of whom have been companions of many years, but were not allowed to.

Thanks for that link Basschick. It broke my heart when I saw people having to get on busses and leave their furry friends. I would definitely have been one of those people that refused to go until mine could go.
