Link Lists?

Whatever happened to the good ol' link list? Do many people still use them? Are they worth the effort? Any suggestions as to which ones have retained their value?

persiankitty.com and link-o-rama.com come to mind first... they are two of the biggest, oldest and best, and still sending hits like a mad dog. then there are sites like dangerdave.com and janesguide.com but there are plenty out there.

or sites like hunkhunter.com and justusboys.com still rock and roll, too.

it takes time for link sites to build up bookmarkers, and i'm not talking weeks, but sites like these have traffic that is pure gold because they don't lie or post really bad sites, so their regular surfers trust them.

Thanks for the mention patti. :center: I direct webmasters to LL's that I have worked with when they ask me about places to find traffic. There are a few new LL’s out there that are doing good as well.

Putting up my own link list, Bear Universe, was one of the best things I've ever done for my business. It increased my income dramatically.

The stupidest thing I did was make it a bear/fetish link list because I just don't get webmasters submitting to it. If my same link list was more mainstream gay, it'd be rocking. However, because I included all kinds of sites of interest to bears like bear groups, bear guest houses etc, I get links on lots of sites that wouldn't normally link to a strictly porn website.

Still, it gets a decent amount of traffic, a large portion of which is directed at my hubs. A more mainstream gay link list with a new script is on my list of things to do. Have they started cloning humans yet?
