? Banner Exchange Program - Maleswap

I'm thinking about trying this Maleswap banner exchange program, but I have some questions.

First, are these types of programs worthwhile. It seems to me that if I have to put two of their banners on my site to get one of mine placed somewhere else that I'm going to have to "litter" my site with a lot of banners to get anything significant in the way of traffic. Am I right or wrong?

Second, what's a "misleading or blind banner."

Third, do these banners have to appear right at the top of your page, or they can be anywhere?

Anything else you can tell me about these kinds of programs would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Banner Exchanges - Traffic Leak Or Traffic Pump?

Hopefully, this article will explain the basics of gaining additional traffic by utilizing banner exchange codes on your sites.

One of the prime concerns webmasters have with banner exchanges is that they are placing someone else's banner on their site thus not making any money from the 'traffic leak', however, this is not the case, in all probability, they were in fact, going to leave your site anyway.

So the surfer has left your site, ah well, that's a lost surfer right? Wrong! Well, at least it is wrong if you utilized a banner exchange code on your site.

Let me explain, for every time the banner exchange code is viewed you earn a credit for that loading up of the banner by using the banner exchange code (sounds complicated doesn't it, trust me it isn't). Now the good thing about this is that for every view of the banner exchange code on your site, there is a site somewhere else with your banner being viewed and, the chances are, the surfer might just click from that site through your banner being displayed on their site to your site.

Lets look at this for a moment from the perspective of a webmaster who is not using a banner exchange on their site. Mr. or Mrs. webmaster gets 2000 hits to his or her free site each day, out of these 2000 hits 500 surfers click his or her links to the sponsor. So, what do we have? 1500 WASTED surfers that's what!

Now you on the other hand, who does utilize banner exchange codes on your free site get 2000 hits onto the site, only 500 of them click through to the sponsor, you have basically just gained another 1500 additional surfers through the use of your banner exchange code which, as you will probably know, can be sent to ANYWHERE you like.. console hell, surfer trap, picture of the day program, the choices are endless!

So how did you just make an additional 1500+ surfers? Well lets have a look at the site where you have used the banner exchange.

Firstly, you have placed it on the warning and index pages of your site, that's 2 views for every surfer hitting your site, now, you have also placed this banner exchange code on your gallery pages and on your html pic pages meaning every time one of these horny surfers looks at your content, you are going to be building exposures of the banner exchange code up.

Placement of the banner exchange codes is just as important as using them. In fact, most people place them towards the very bottom of their pages and, this is probably the best place for them, after all, you don't want to waste all your excellent text links and marketing talk for them to click straight out of your site via the banner exchange do you?

Ok, so we now know the basics of using banner exchanges but, how can we manipulate this knowledge to get us additional traffic? Simple, you remember those horrid TGP's that send cheap ass surfers to your galleries looking for free porn? Lets whack a banner exchange code on the galleries, you can then post to which ever TGP's you use and get additional traffic targeted to where YOU want it to be.

Of course one major factor in choosing a banner exchange should be the ratio of traffic you give them to the ratio of traffic they give you in return. Most banner exchange systems will offer you a ratio of around 3:2 meaning, for every 3 times a banner is shown on your site, you will have a banner shown one time on someone else's site.

So, as you can now see, by utilizing banner exchanges you can gain heaps of additional traffic to use and abuse as you feel free but, sadly, there will always be those webmasters who do not want to use any banner exchanges but, that means there is more traffic for those of us that do.

One question I do have about MaleSwap is all the text shows up the same color as the background when I'm logged in and trying to view stats/linking code/etc.
On all 3 of the browsers I use.
Is it just me and my browsers? hehe.
I read this thread and decided to give it a try cuz I'm crazy like that and have already earned 100 credits in less than 5mins 8)

It's when you say one thing - like see more movies here and you link to a join page. A blind banner: hmmm- one example is a banner designed to look like it has links to say galleries on a free site - it blends into your site in such a way that it isn't obvious it's a banner ... and again, the link goes to a tour or join page of some kind.
