DUBLIN, Ireland - RentADrunk.com launched this month for adult program owners who want to take their marketing to another level.

Essentially, you can rent three drunkards for 24 hours, who will wear your company’s shirt and hand out promo materials. They’ll also probably be wasted while doing so.

“Think how many times you’ve seen a guy passed out at a party and how many pictures are taken of that guy. Now think of your merchandise on that guy forever doing stupid drunken things that people will take pictures of and keep posting over and over online,” says RentADrunk co-founder Frank Maher, aka Frank the Tank. “Simply put: This is social advertising, and it’s unique, and we hope the industry likes the idea as much as we do.”

The three RentADrunk agents are all webmasters themselves. In addition to the Tank, who runs BabesAndStuff.com, the other agents are CrazyShit Jay, who runs CrazyShit.com, and Drunk Eric, who runs FueledByVodka.com.

Sponsorship packages, which debut at Internext in January, include advertising on RentADrunk.com and a major sponsorship of the RentADrunk.com College Kegger Party, in addition to the agent’s services.

Of the proceeds, 30 percent will be donated to either the Free Speech Coalition or The Well Project, an HIV research and support group.

I mean WTF?

Its bad enough having to put up with drunk ass clowns at the shows as it is but actually paying people to get drunk and make an ass out of themselves?

Where is this shit going to end?

Is this really indicative of the state of the industry at the moment in the straight marketplace? The more i see in the straight world, the less faith in humanity i have.

Next we'll be seeing people getting paid to get high at the shows, instead of seeing people getting high for free.

When is this madness going to stop and the industry get back to being as professional as it was 5 years ago?

i see your point Lee ,however i think a better way to look at it is, we work in porn,its never gonna be totally professional and theres always gonna be peeps out there who are idiots.it goes without saying that there are bad apples in every tree, but the adult biz is just loaded with them. just take it withe a grain of salt...

I think that site looks fun.

One of the things I love most about working in the adult industry is we're in a field where traditional business elements like sound business plans, capital, competence and ingenuity can thrive.

But we're also much different from the traditional business world in so many ways that make adult still a sort of Wild West arena - where clever and off the wall and unorthodox stuff can still be put out there.

I think that's part of what makes working in this field so much fun. I'd never pay those guys to represent me but kudos to them for havin' some fun.

What's even better? Ya know someone's gonna pay em and sign up for their thing haha. I love that.
