    Go Daddy

    Hey guys,

Since when did Go Daddy start hosting porn. Does anyone have experience with them?

Also, their EULA that you agree to when you sign up still states:
    You agree not to engage in unacceptable use of any Services, which includes, without limitation, use of the Services to: (i) disseminate or transmit unsolicited messages, chain letters or unsolicited commercial email; (ii) disseminate or transmit any material that, to a reasonable person may be abusive, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, harassing, grossly offensive, vulgar, threatening or malicious;
    cheers,
    Luke

I just purchased a pop3 email account via godaddy.

It was like root canal without pain relief.

Window after window of "confirmation" to check out.

Then after I created the pop3 email account - Had to buy a domain to get it.

I pulled my nose hair out trying to find the set up information IE: outgoing server and smtp server info.

And the buggers don't have a 1-800 number.

    Nice customer service.

I worked there for a month. They are not "gay friendly" when it comes to gay porn. This was about two years ago. They said any site with gay porn would be shut down if a client called for support. It's on the same list as kitty porn, ***********, etc. I hated they put gay sex as part of that list so i left :o)

Hosting, or domains also? I didn't even know they allowed porn hosting.

I've never heard of a legit adult site's domain being pulled by them for content reasons.

I know someone who sent opt-in mailers and he got busted for spam, but his opt-out process wasn't adequate. I've also heard a couple people say they had problems renewing, but they both waited until expiration day and didn't allow for time to solve problems.

I've had some names there for over three years and never had issues of any kind.
I post here to whore this sig.

Here I go again, "spitting into the wind" on this board.
I register all my domains with Go Daddy..have never had one problem with them. Have no idea if they host porn, but to whoever says they are unfriendly to "gay porn" people..that just ain't true. The guys at godaddy have bent over backwards helping me with my domain which are OBVIOUSLY gay.

    FYI

I've never had a problem with them. I talked with one of their reps on the phone and they said they to host for adult and have thousands of adult clients and that the TOS is a standard TOS for most mainstream hosting companies to give them a right to terminate for something objectionable.

I've never need tech support from them so I dunno.

I'm neutral. I don't care about them one way or the other at this point.

as luke showed above, godaddy doesn't allow pornography on their servers.

i know several people who have had domains stolen through godaddy. things eventually got straightened out, but the big problem is godaddy has no support on weekends, so the theft continues through at least tuesday.

every time i mention this on a thread, some people appear to say "i use godaddy, and i've never had a problem".

well, EVERYONE doesn't have this problem, but i've never seen this problem happen at all through another registrar, and weekend support is a good thing.

Hosting. They told us during training if we pulled up a customer with hosting with us that had that type of content they would shut it down immediately. It's been two years don't know if that has changed.

And yes I am one of those people who said they've never had a problem with them plus they DO to have weekend support. Good GRIEF!

    Domains: (480) 505-8899
    Fax Number: (480) 505-8844
    **24/7 Support: (480) 505-8877**
    Billing: (480) 505-8855

Not sure why you went out of your way here to give that mis-information.

That is actually true they will provide excellent support even if ur domain name is a gay domain. BUT...... if u host w/them and they have to look at your site because you have problems and that person sees it he can shut down your account immediately. The call center at the time didnt have any cubes with walls bascially just look at everyone's screen if you wanted. So if someone sat besides me or behind me and saw I was supporting a site with 2 guys fucking and they didnt like it they would call a lead and get that site down.

Although the agreement says no "pornographic content" during the interview for the job they will tell you they allow or host STRAIGHT only websites and if you feel offended by porn.
