Just Curious - How Many Of You Submiited A Site To The Xbiz Awards?

That was owned by someone on GWW?

I know i sent in submissions for Chilihost, Mancheck, Fratcash, Mesmerotic, GWW and a couple of other sites yet non of them with the exception of GWW made the list and, even that wasnt in the category it go submitted to.

Just wondered how accurate their nominations actually were?

Did any of you guys submit nominations and, if so, who did you nominate and, did they make the final list?

I just checked their nominations lists...not one of the ones I nominated were mentioned

It was the biggest turn out ever as far as votes, to make the list they had to have alot of votes!

I nominated GWW, Universal Bear and a few others.

But yeah, very few actual nominations for my effort.

You know, several people have said they felt like they wasted time nominating companies and sites for the awards because they never made the shortlist and, at the same time, they couldnt beleive some of the companies who actually did make the list either.

It would be nice to know how many nominations were actually needed as a minimum for someone to be included on the finalists list though, i have been told by about 10 people that they nominated a specific GLBT company who hasnt made the final list yet :/

Haha you know a couple of years ago we thought of doing a web award type thing for GWW but decided against it because it would cause to much hassle with others in the industry.

Most of these award ceremonies are quite obviously fixed anyway and i dont think Gary or I could operate an 'award' based on that premise, it kinda goes against our values.

Just let others keep doing what they have been, it seems to work for them
