    M/M Lift & Carry; A New Niche?

A customer emailed us about it; I'd never heard of it before. While it doesn't appeal to CitiBoyz, maybe it will interest someone out there reading this. Comments, anyone?

    Email 1:
Hi there guys. I was just browsing your website and wanted to ask if you would do a 60-90 minute DVD devoted to the theme of M/M lift and carry (piggyback, shoulder riding, pony ride, cradle carry) involving two or more guys with each other? There are a lot of enthused male members in the Yahoo groups that deal with this M/M lift and carry theme and not much video content on this subject, but there is a following. Let me know what you think. The whole premise would be guys having fun while helping each other stay in shape through strength competition with each other.

    Email 2 (after my reply):
Thank you for your response. Yes, M/M lift and carries is a new theme. Some of the www.yahoo.com groups on this you can check out are menridingonmensshoulders or menbeingliftedbymen or mencradlecarryingmen or piggybackridingmenonly. Many members submit stories and still pics on these themes, but seeing these as a new type of punishment to inflict started me inquiring webmasters of M/M punishment sites just for something different to offer their viewers in addition to their set format of punishment. As a viewer myself, the more variety the better and for the webmaster, it's a new idea to add to thier video library.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

You know i saw a program on TV in the UK about 6 years ago which featured both men and women who were heavily in to being carried around in the firemans lift, it never ceases to amaze me the things that turn people on, no matter how weird they may seem

    Regards,

Funny. We received the same email on 10/10. In my own opinion I dont think it's something that would have a huge market. However it is kinda hot to see the Abercrombie & Fitch ads with the yummy jock models piggypacking each other. :extat:

    HAAAAAHAHA! "Slut Glue"? omg.......

I've always wondered how profitable these "micro-niches" could really be.

Most micro-niche sites that I've seen aren't even setting themselves at a higher price point than "standard" sites, so what on earth is the purpose? Limit your potential customer pool for a product that's priced the same as a product that'd have larger appeal?

It seems to me if someone's going to bother producing, and heaven forbid marketing, a micro-niche, their price point should be THROUGH THE ROOF to make it worth the effort.

If the answer is that customers don't respond to the higher price point, then to me the solution is to not produce the product in the first place.

Actually, I was friends with this guy who had that carrying fetish. I found a yahoo group for him and he hooked up with the guy who started it. He was from SF and came down to LA and the two of them would spend the whole weekends carrying each other around. It was pretty cool. I'm very much interested in what turns people on, especially when it's something I have no personal experience with.

Unless a webmaster who produces a micro-niche site is also extremely into that niche. If they greatly enjoy the subject matter, but feel it wasn't well represented online, they have reason enough to pursue the creation of a site around it. Personal interest in a sites content is a big factor in the sites quality, in my my opinion. So it's a good thing. People should build niche sites around the things they love more often, without worrying about appealing to lowest common denominator markets or profit margins. Porn for profit sites will just never, ever compare to porn for pleasure sites, if you ask me.
