    Uniforms in porn?

I want to start a new site focus on uniforms and gear. Everything from postal service, sports, law enforcement, military, and what ever I think is hot. I know most of you guys are not lawyers, but do you think I will have any problems with companies sueing me over the use of there uniforms in my porn?

Is there anywhere I can find information regarding this, or similar things?

I really want to make this site, but all the legal crap is keeping me up at night. I would really value any input and advise you guys (and gals) have to offer.

    Thanks,
    DukeNuke

I don't know about the legalities of using a company's uniforms, but I do know there are a lot of websites already out there who run sites based on military, doctor/nurse,etc. I would guess that by keeping general you would be safe but when you get to private companies with logos, such as UPS, or Fed Ex, then you may get into trouble. Your best bet is to have a lawyer on hand for these types of things. If you are shooting your own maybe you could modify the uniform so it does not look exactly like the company's uniform, but your members will get the idea, ie - a pair of brown shorts and brown shirt may appear as a UPS uniform, but without the exact uniform or logo it's just a guy in brown shorts and shirt. (I always did have a thing for guys in a UPS uniform, can't you tell?). Again, check with a lawyer.

Of course, if you licensed content from a reputable company, these matters are already taken care of and you can use the content without worry, such as our uniform content you can see by clicking this link...

    Thanks Don.

I know you personally can’t answer all these questions, but I’ll post them here for the next person. (Hopefully a lawyer. LOL)

I would be making my own content, for a nitch market.

I get what you are saying about the UPS thing. That would be easy.

But what about a sports uniform, to be safe would I could I only use their colors, and no team logos or names? How about ‘official’ patches?

We have all seen cheesy cop pornos that start in the locker room and the guys are naked in the first 5 minuets. (No offence to the guys that make and sell that stuff) I’d say that 90% of the uniforms in porn are done so half assed and use cheesy look-sort-of-like (not even look-a-like) patches that it would be a joke to sue someone over them.

Part of the appeal to this nitch site would be the attention to details, and be about the uniforms as much or more then the guy in them. The viewers would know the uniforms and gear is authentic.

For those of you that have been in the biz and seen it all… Do you think this is some thing that I should be concerned about, or am I over reacting?

    Thanks Guys,

To my knowledge, there are a heap of sites that have that type of content on them already as well as movie producers such as Triga out of the UK.

You might want to contact Triga and see if they have run in to any legal problems.

Id go the safest route and only use the team colors, logos and names are actually trademarked so chances are, if they did take you to court, you would lose.
