Phatservers.com - Advice on Hosting...

Hi Everybody... I'm looking for a dedicated hosting plan. I've found a company that works for me:

Anybody know them? What has your experience been with them? If you can offer comments/advice (good or bad), it would be much appreciated.

I am familiar with the name but cant recall any specifics on them.

I would suggest you check out Luke at Chilihosting. We have servers with him and I can defintely say that he is by far the best in customer service that I have ever found in all my time working on the net, and his prices are very competitive.

i am the only person i've ever talked to who had problems with phatservers. everyone i know who hosts there is pretty happy, and speak well of them. and i know lots of people who have hosted with them for quite a while.

if you do a search at gfy or awi, you will see that they are definitely a host people like.

if price is a factor, i know of some other hosts who offer as good or better deals, but if you like what you see at phatservers, they have a lot of satisfied customers.

here's a few:

www.hosthead.com i have hosted there for several months and am very happy. these servers are semi managed, but they do everything i've required and they've done it fast.

http://www.idealbandwidth.com/ basement uses these guys. they have been pretty steady for a while now.

http://www.exmasters.com/dedicatedus.php several guys strongly recommended them to me.

http://www.sagonet.com/ viking on awi and others use them and are very happy with them. i don't think they are managed, though - but you can ask.

btw, i hosted for a month with luke. he was courteous and very helpful - and patient, too.
