A Little Late But - GWW Community Project - PT 1

Okay folks here we go with stage one of the GWW community project :thumbsup:

First off, we are going to do some basic preparation work before we start the building process so this is what we are going to need to have ready..

6 niches to work with for the first few sites we will be building, at this moment gay market niches would be preferable although, any niche will work for the projects early stages.

6 sets of niche content (10 pics per set) this is what we will be using on our first traffic building / hub site, paid content or sponsored free content - it doesnt matter!

Hosting (paid or free, paid hosting will be preferably for the project but not required).

HTML Skills - We're going to be doing a lot of building over the coming weeks so now is the time to get tuned up on HTML.

Sponsors - ideally you want to have one or two sponsors you can use, these sponsors should have sites for the 6 niches you chose above and, ideally, they should ALSO have FREE content to use for promoting their sites (minimum of 10 pics per site is required).

A banner exchange account, any banner exchange will do although im personally partial to http://www.maleswap.com for gay traffic and http://www.pornclient.com for mixed traffic

Thats it.. later this afternoon ill be posting the first 'task' we need to get started on.

lee, bec asked me if i was taking part in this project and i told her no, because we don't work with banner exchange programs. i decided to post my reasons here.

banner exchanges can allow terms on banners that we don't allow on our site. for example, we don't use the word TEEN, but many banner exchanges allow such terms as TEEN BOYS.

a more extreme example of why we don't do banner exchange programs is that years ago, more than once, webmasters changed their banners to reflect illegal things. sure, they were thrown out of the program, but for several hours, my site had illegal terms on it - and i believe their site redirected to beast, so i was also linked to it!

Not a problem and FYI You dont have to use a banner exchange for this project Its just an additional way for newer webmasters to get some additional exposure for their sites.

I also completely understand where you are coming from about webmasters changing their banners once accepted into the exchanges, its a full time job on its own checking all of the accts we have in those exchanges daily! But well worth it afterall we dont want any of the exchange members to have to worry about illegal crap on their sites and, unlike most other banner exchanges we do actually care about that LOL

As i say, banner exchange acct isnt a requisite but its there as a suggestion for the project members to get some additional traffic to their first project sites *IF* they want to use them

Oh PT 2 Of the project should be posted a little later this evening once ive figured out why our server isnt letting me log into it LOL
