Wow...I never ever surfed straight porn before... but last 10 days I've been scraping the hetero side of porn to find how they do stuff, what they do and how much are we actually different...

These are the sites I purchased membership to:

What a fucking great deal... it's incredible just how much content these pages have... tons and tons and tons of incredible EXTRA HIGH RESOLUTION 3000 px images, daily updates, zip downloads, videos and what not...

But what I was most surprised is their daily updates with new photoshoot.. for instance met-art.com updates even up to 6 times A DAY!!! with 6 different photoshoots each consisting at least 100 images... what the fuck!?!?

In my whole life as a gay surfer I have never ever experienced anything similiar on any gay site... This content it's different on all sites, while most gay sites purchase stuff from ounique and maxpixel... gay sites rarely update and never deliver HIGH resolution images to surfer...

No, they even go that far to give them 480x600 px image with 2 different HUGE watermarks on image... and I'm speaking for most of the gay sites...

It's just incredible .. I've joined 4 randomly chosen sites and they all delivered exactly what they said and even more... and I think I'll just stay member because of the fabolous pix if nothing else.. and having that much daily updates...

On the other side... wow... I basically realized that only BoyFun and RandyBlue come as close to this ... but ofcourse never as close to that...

Can anyone tell me why is that?? Why are gay surfers being fucked, why gay webmasters don't deliver stuff they promise, why are we pacing behind straight sites... and when is this cookie cutter layout and poor content era going to end?

Is this all because gay market is much much smaller?? Or nobody cares about giving surfer fun time and retaining him ...

Straight surfers are much more demanding and, they dont make as much money as gay surfers do therefore, they get pandered to a lot more.

Im sure once we [the gay industry] start bombarding our surfers with hundreds of consoles, cj's, free hardcore porn, 1000mb movies for free, multiple pre-checked cross sells and all that other stuff we'll have to start giving away the moon on a stick inside our sites to.

For now though, lets be thankfull that we arent having to go above and beyond what is needed to make money

Correct, gay surfers ARENT as demanding as straight surfers, especially when it comes to their porn, they know what they want and, if they find it, they'll stick around. It really is that simple.

The vast majority of straight sites are nothing but plugins, very few of them actually host their own content and, those that do, have very little of it.

The simple fact of the matter is that, once a straight surfer joins a site, they jerk off as much as possible or download as much content as possible, cancel their membership and move on to the next site because they are used to sites that have nothing but plugins in them.

Very few gay sites are built solely of plugins, sure there are a few but, most of the sites i have been inside use high quality, regularly updated content, Randy Blue, Corbin Fisher, Sean Cody, FratMen, the list goes on.

Lets not forget that the vast majority of straight sites arent targetted also, this means that they MUST pack their members area with content in an effort to make the surfer retain on the other hand, most gay sites ARE highly targetted so dont need to pack their members area with content, the surfer knows if they join a jock site, thats the type of content they are going to find inside, easily, without having to rummage around the members area to find it.

There is a difference between gay surfers and sraight surfers, one of them havent been screwed around for the last 10+ year and, im sure once that does start to happen we'll see more gay sites pandering to the surfer by packing their members area with whatever content they can.

Just be thankfull that right now, we arent having to do that.

you get access to all the sites in the program when you join any one site - and peternorth.com alone has 275 full scenes - and the extra content for the network includes over 200 plugins, some of which - like the pluginfeeds feeds - are actually entire paysites worth of content. you could probably surf these sites for months without stopping. on the other hand, they have the official sites of peter north and lex steele, and there's nothing personal about them really, which was a letdown.

things that get retention for me - a site that has a personality, and maybe is personal - and lots of content with regular updates. put those together with quality content and you're on a roll. a site that has a network of sites as extra content is going to have an edge there - as long as the main site has enough content in the niche to keep people happy.
