    Need to purchase an old laptop

    Hey peeps,

    I've got a slight problem. My old laptop finally bit the big one.
    Now I know, I could buy a new and it won't cost too much.. blah blah.

    But I have my grand daughter with me and the old laptop was a toughy and survived everything from drool to being dropped. I used it as my cartoon work and educational work horse.

    I've checked EBay and several online stores. But even the "power seller" with over 1200 recomends won't respond to my emails. (Not a great insentive to buy from the guy)

    So I want to replace it with the same. Does anyone deal with a reputable used computer or refurb company on the internet? One that accepts visa would be wonderful too. Or perhaps you know someone that has one of these machines and is willing to part with it at a good price.

    I need a Compaq Armada M700 PIII 750MHz

    Thanks
    Hammy

    You should take another look at Ebay, I found a ton of exactly what your looking for. Here is one of the bigger puppies:
    Store --> http://stores.ebay.com/LYPC-WAREHOUS...toreviewQQtZkm

    Laptop --> http://cgi.ebay.com/COMPAQ-ARMADA-M7...QQcmdZViewItem

    Hamilton, they are asking ('Buy It Now price') US $269.00; they are in Warminster PA; the auction ends today Nov-23-05 15:51:57 PST

    Aside from that, no, I do not know of any refurb dealers.

    Hope th@ helps, y0!

    Unfortunately it's the same guy that won't answer my questions or return my emails. I really don't want to buy from someone that I can't contact first.
    But thanks for trying.

    I kinda understand.

    This is not exactly what you are looking for (faster processor), but the source is more reputable:

    sold from
    http://www.compu-america.com/ProdDis...093&ExportID=3
