So I Watched National Geographic This Morning..

They had a show on about tattoos and, i have to say it was REALLY educating so far as marketing this niche went.

I found out a lot of stuff that i didnt even know about this niche, the stereotypes, the history of tattoos, the social aspects of tattoos, it was really interesting stuff.

Needless to say, im now going to be working on some promo items for Tattooed Guys based on the stuff i learned from the program, if any of you folks get a chance to watch it, i would do, apart from helping you get a better understanding of what drives people to get tattoos and love guys with tattoos, it was overall, a really intriguing program

    Regards,

    Lee

That's great Lee! I'm really glad that you are so into studying the niches you are working in, it says a lot about your commitment to the program and it's sites. Finding out why people like what they like and the history of a niche is something a lot of webmasters don't bother with; It's great to see that you do!

I don't know if you guys get the show down in the states but there's this show that I occassionally watch called, Inked.

It's a day in the life of the people who work in and own a Vegas tattoo shop; kind of facinating. Full of *DRAMA*

Yeah i couldnt really get in to inked though because of all the drama going on LOL

Actually, i saw another program on NG last night called Taboo Tattoo also, again, another pretty good program.

There are so many different variations in cultures around the world concerning tattoos, some place in Africa they actually scar childrens faces once they hit a certain age to let the community know that they are no longer to be considered infants.

Another part of the show i watched last night had some dude with piercings and tats all over his body explaining that he had all the artwork done because he is an exhibitionist. Others were saying that they really are addicted to getting inked.

    Regards,

Oh here's an interesting tidbit I just remembered...

In the Canadian military, like the military the world over, tats are pretty popular. Often guys would get them after some important milestone such as after basic training (or during), or after their first trades course, or after their first posting to a unit or a ship. Things like that...

BUT here's the catch...It was also considered a Self-Inflicted-Wound, (SIW).

Usually though, you only got nailed for that charge if you couldn't carry out your normal duties.

I remember one guy who decided that he was able to work quite well, after he was informed that he'd be facing a fine and what ever else the Sgt. Major could think up, if he decided to go to sick parade because of his new tat instead of going on a ruck march. LOL!

( INKED ) I wanna set it!... Hmmmm i must check it out!!

LOL off the subject for a second.. Discovery channel is very graphic in the sense that it is like watching animal porn hahah everytime I watch that channel something is always fucking! HAHAHA... It is kinda gross but at the same time what can I expect it is the discovery channel and it is actually one of my favorite channels!! I love stuff that educates and intergrates and diversifys so it is a very cool place to tune into when I watch TV LOL seeming that is only like 5 minutes a year cause I literally never have time to watch TV !! HAHAH I DONT AT ALL....It is crazy but then again I hate watching drama on TV... and crap which TV is mostly full of! So discovery channel is still one of those channels that has remained the same and educational and that is what I like about it alot!! heheheh
