Ebony NIche Color Scheme Suggestions?

So ive been checking around a few different ebony sites for the last hour or so and they all seem to use a similar color system, oranges, reds and grays, purple and gold or, yellows.

Has anyone noticed if one color scheme works best for you on this niche?

Right now, im really digging the purple or deep red and grey color scheme.

Any reason why i shouldnt go with that scheme?

There was a site a few years back that really caught my attention, it had choclate in the name, but the colors are what was so cool about it. I think what they did was take a hot fudge sundae with a cherry on top, and grab colors from it.

I've gotten a lot of color scheme ideas from grabbing colors from a picture that had a nice color feel.

You can do this with a color grabber, I have a great little program that I use all the time, it gives you the hex code for colors you can grab right off an image or page.
