    CCBill Cross Sell Question...

Does anyone know if it is possible for us to credit affiliates with a portion of any potential cross sells on the CCBill join pages?

Its not something we're looking at doing any time in the near future im just trying to understand some of the inner-workings of cross-sells though the CCBill system

    Regards,

    Lee

why not ask ccbill? there were a couple programs who used to do that - siccash did but they used epoch, and they also used custom scripting to make it happen.

If you are cross selling your own sites, and have grouping enabled, yes, the affiliate ID should get passed through to any site within your group.

If you are cross selling to someone else's site, no.

But, if you're paying $44 per signup, so you gotta make it somewhere.

not if your sites retain. i promote 3 sites in one program that retain on average 6 months now, and another program that is looking at 5 months. besides, there are always guys whose name you will see in your stats who keep coming by for a year or more, and you have to add those in.

also there are upsells in the member area that really help defray costs for sites that don't rebill as well and there is also email collection boxes on the tour that don't change the signups.

you will see less retention if you upsell to other sites on the join because most people don't care to pay 2 monthly $29.95 subscriptions. of course, if your site is a truly rockin' site, your cross-sell sponsor may see less retention instead.

Hello Lee, Perhaps I can help here.

We have Upsales and Cross Sales. An Upsale is when you are marketing another site under your own CCBill main account on your join form and a Cross Sale is when you are marketing someone elses site on your join form.

MWCren is correct in that if you are Upselling and have Grouping enabled then yes the affiliate will also be credited with the Upsale.

If you are Cross selling we can still attach an ID to the Cross Sale but the referrer will not receive credit if they are a CCBill affiliate because that ID will not be associated with both accounts.

Hope this helps. Let me know if anyone has any questions.
