Just wondering how much is too much. I think the most I have ever paid was $39.95 recurring but I only stayed for a couple of months. I'm not comfortable going over the $29.95 monthly recurring.
I just noticed that badpuppy went down on their recurring to $19.95 so that's why i'm asking.

That is for *new* members who join now and choose monthly recurring. This is probably a holiday "sale" price and will likely go back to $26.95 after the holidays.

Does anyone else see any evidence of price decreases? We've been experimenting with higher prices for Boyfunk, and our conversions are off, but we did it at the same time as changing out the tour, so we aren't sure if it's the tour that isn't converting, or the price increase... more trying to make the affiliates happy than anything else.

There comes a time when you have to ask yourself a question. When is it to much? Memberships $25 to $30 a month? Think of it this way. With the higher cost of everything, and I do mean every thing. Rent, food, gas, home heating. Do I spend the extra 10 on HBO or Star’s? Can I find a cheaper porn site that I can get my rocks off on?
Here is a question for all of you.
Would it be easier to find the one guy that can afford 30 a month for a site, or 15 people that can afford 15 to 20 a month?
Myself I would rather get more members at a lower price. Then have to worry about keeping and finding the guys that can afford more.

There is probably a good deal of pressure to keep memberships at a lower level given the economy, world events, and the increasing competition in the mainstream gay markets.
When i priced my site at $24.95 I didn't see much of a change in initial sign ups, but man, you could really tell on rebills. They took a huge hit. I went back to $19.95 and sales and rebills were both strong.
Badpuppy is more AEN than paysite. It would be interesting to get 10 models and try to find the "brand" of that model. I bet it would be hard to find the "badpuppy" model but I bet i could find the sean cody model, the fratmen model, the randy blue model, the active duty model... my point being, Badpuppy is a strong brand, but it may suffer because it doesn't represent a certain "type" of male model. They may be trying out the low price walmart type of marketing. I'm sure there's lot's of profit even with a lower price point.
I wonder if there's such thing as "high end" porn. I guess if there is, it's gotta be exclusive and very well branded. I can see $24.95 or $29.95 being do-able with a high end feel to the design and content. Surfers like to feel pamperedand catered to even with their porn especially at those prices.

I think the most I pay is for aebn. Usually about $50 every 2 months.
I love it because I like both straight and gay porn and I can look at every niche from either market, and fast forward to the scenes I like.
the highest amount i've paid for a membership would probably be $120.00 U.S.D
in regards to how much is too much that would depend on what kind of content you have and how much your surfer is willing to pay for it.
