So Why Are You Going To Vegas?

What do you hope to get out of your experience at the Vegas show and, how will you judge whether the show was a success for you or not?

I think a lot of people in the industry, even though they realize that these tradeshows are primarily for 'business' often forget that fact.

That being said, what is your reason for going to the show and, what do you hope to bring back from the show (apart from a load of goodies).

For us, this show is about solidifying some of our brands in both adult and non-adult (we're only really going for the CES show) im hoping to come away with a few new affiliates for Condom Cash and, possibly some mainstream clients for our translations, marketing and programming services although, im primarily wanting to start getting our brand names recognized in the mainstream circles a little more, anything in addition to that is 'gravy'.

So what are your reasons for going to the Vegas show and, what do you hope to get out of attending and spending all that money?

In my line of work I think repetition and getting my name out is very important. I go to a lot of events and try to spend a little time with as many people as possible. Usually each event can net 2 to 6 new clients which makes it worthwhile in itself. The real magic is that 2 of those new clients will end up referring me to someone else every six months, so my business is growing steadily through both new contacts and referrals. The direct contact and marketing has been instrumental for me.

Events are also good for catching up with current and former clients and just basic good PR. I give out a ton of no-cost legal advice at conferences!

My primary objective is to build on current affiliate relationships, solidify new ones, and close pending deals. In conjunction, I'll be using the tradeshow floor to market new affiliate products/tools and of course will take the opportunity to do a little bit of competitive intelligence - wink wink. I hope to meet and chat with many of the online board community at the various networking events. See you all in Vegas!

For me it's about 8-fold.

Now that Fratmen has been branded and properly put out there, we just want to keep that ball rolling. Instead of being a self-contained site, we're looking to get some more things going on.. we're looking into PPV, we've got a feed and there's always a possiblity of other things going.

I want to maybe try to sign even more people (particularly straight webmasters) up to become affiliates, and I want to find out what is and isn't working for the affilaites I have.

I want to party rotten and dance naked at the GFY party.

There's a few companies that want to do some partnerships with us, and I want to see what they've got and hear what they have to say.

I wanna show off how much weight I've lost.

I wanna meet a bunch of you that I haven't meet yet.

Playing dodgeball with a bunch of clueless straight boys is SO much fun.
