    Decisions, Decisions

    Hey all,

I want to get in the xxx web field. My friends and I have sex and catch it on a dig camera (soon vid cam). The sex is bareback until completion with close-ups both oral as well as anal. Like everyone and their short bus uncle I want to cash in and make money doing something I like...getting fucked and sucking cock. I'm contemplating whether I should sell my content to someone like Ounique, or sell direct or design and offer my own site. The goal is to make money...lots if possible. What should I do? I am aslo looking for people that need box cover design or other graphic work...gotta pay the bills! Any help and/or guidance would be appreciated.

first things first - are you in the u.s.?

you can make money selling content, but unless you have LOTS of it, it will start as a gradual process. ditto pay per view. you could get into both and make a website or if you have enough content, you could make an exclusive website.

how much money you will make selling videos or paysite memberships is 100% up to you. it's all about marketing.

Sounds hot to me! I would build and market your own website. Selling your content is kind of a one time sell, once you sell your pics, you sell them and you won't make it rich. You want something recurring for your content, which is why building your own site may be best.

Good luck with it and welcome to the board!
    Thanks,
    Jacob

the big question to me - is he ready, willing and able to comply with the laws? 2257 not only makes you legally have to deal with responsibility as set out by the DOJ, but also if you take all the pics down - say you find god and want no more to do with porn - you are STILL legally responsible as custodian for 5 years if the new regs don't stand, 7 years if they do.

    Another stupid question, Sorry

First off, thanks for the help.

I am a US citizen (If Florida counts). I was thinking of building a site, and am now leaning that way for a number of reasons. The area I do not have a clue with is how to market my site so alot of people see it. The site itself will be hot and fun with true stories and of course pics and vid (eventually). Should I get in with a certain company to pimp me around? Is there a actual business model out there?

The content will be hot but need people to see it. I designed a site for a friend of mine, he bought his content and went with Mancheck (I think), over one weekend he got 90,000 hits to his site but since they already had memberships he didn't get a dime. I don't mind sharing but I got to get mine.

I am familiar with the laws and am ready willing and able to keep my records tight. Even if I do find...you know.

Again, thanks for responding. If you have any good ideas or thoughts about a proven marketing niche please let me know.

um... you do realize you are legally obligated to

    1. put the address where law enforcement can come at any business hours or a posted 20 hours per week at the place where you work, and that address must be on your website linked from a prominant place?

    2. you must keep records including every piece of content and all urls they are posted on, by model name and last name?

    3. that you must continue to maintain those records in the location posted on any websites for 7 YEARS after the site is taken down?

that being the case, many amateur guy sites do really well. how good your content is, how much content is on your site, how good your tour and your text are - all these things are involved in making money from surfers and getting webmasters to promote your site.

there is literally more than i could list here - plus i get paid to do that stuff - but a short list is you can pay to advertise on search engines, send out press releases at all the webmaster resources about your webmaster program, get an seo guru to optimize a bunch of pages for you to bring in traffic, make hubs, buy banners on webmaster boards to attract webmasters, post galleries, post free sites, post avs sites.

    Dear 321manWhore:

Well you certainly seem to be bursting with enthusiasm, which is great! I suggest that you save your pennies and attend the Phoenix Forum at the end of March. I did this myself in 2003 on a shoestring, and I cannot tell you how much you discover just by attending a show.

I have a friend here in Texas who has been talking about putting an adult site together all year, and finally about two weeks ago he telephoned me to say that his investors are committed and chomping at the bit.... and he had tons of questions. On a last minute decision, he just attended the Internext industry show in Vegas, and I can say that as a newcomer, he said to me today that he learned so much.

He probably returned home with a significantly different business plan than what he arrived with.

There is a lot of money to be made in this business, as long as you stay committed to your ideas, follow though and if something does not work, improvise. But I underscore getting to the Phoenix Forum as a way to immerse yourself quickly into a new field like this one.

    Good luck,
    Steve
