So Apart From The Parties... What Else Did You Enjoy About Vegas?

Other than all the free liqor, food and sex, what else did you enjoy about this years Vegas show?

For Gary and I, this show was, without a doubt, our most enjoyable one, i think the main reason beig that we didnt leave the hotel so never had to worry about walking the show floor, paying $10 for a bottle of water or a bag of chips.

Instead, we spent our time in meetings at the TI, gambling and winning money on the blackjack and 3 card poker tables

So what made this show for you other than the parties? Was it a profitable one for you business wise?

What would you change at the next show if you could?

    Regards,

    Lee

Well I was dissappointed alot actually!

Last year was much better.. The free liquor wasnt a big thing for me seeming I have tons at home and if I wanted to drink I rather go to a club and do it!

The show floor had less booths this year and it seemed there was alot of people at the partys that found out about the partys and kinda crashed them!

Like the big fight at QFEST with people who where just fans who got into the party... not only did the fight happen twice in was lame...

Like I said before the show floor had less booths and it seems AEE was the place to be if you didnt wanna end up falling asleep....

There was perks to the partys I met some people I have never met before.. But for the most party I knew everyone there...

The CB awards and Hustlaball are the only 2 things I would go back to that event for nad of course the GWW party but the rest of it was kinda of a wasted trip.. To be completly honest... I really honestly sat down and looked at all the gains...

The gains where simple I met like 10 new contacts who I will be working with and also.. I got to spend quality time with people I love and get to know them better.. But as far as business goes .. I can say I made some of my business relationships stronger.. But I could have done more of this at phoenix forum! That event rocks and honestly is alot cheaper and HAS TONS MORE VALUE THAN THIS ONE! Phoenix forum also doesnt have tons of models that are doing nothing....

Vegas was fun party wise.. But all it was is alot of partys and the same ones all over again with the same things happening .. I really think that there wasnt to many new elements to vegas this year.. AND AT MOST THERE WAS ACTUALLY ALOT OF THINGS TAKEN AWAY!! Like seminars and things that where imporant! There was less booths and less seminars and less business people!

More Models, More liquor, More Partys etc.. and I mean I can party anyday of the week and it seems there was less of what there needed to be and more of what there didnt need to be !!!

I still had fun .......... It was a blast and Im happy I got to hang out with alot of new people and Im really happy I got to go to Hustlaball with tom weiss and Im really happy I got to go to the GWW Party... and CB awards and hang out with new people take pics and also film my show for the extra time I did have.. So those where the exciting things and hell if Im in the mood for a huge party again next year.. Vegas is the place to be!!:yeah:

Hmm.. I had a lot of meetings, I made some great business contacts and I had a great time. I met some new people who are going to be doing business with us in some ways and we solidified a few relationships.

I got a chance to meet up with people that I really respect and I got a chance to see people in their element.

I also got to see a few people in a different light and maybe stepped back from them a bit. I got to see a few people in a different light and will now be working a bit closer with them.

I made a couple new friends who I'll be hanging out with on a regular basis just as friends here in Hollywood.

I got to hear some behind the scenes stuff from a few companies that we're not going to necessarily do business with, but we'll be suporting one another.

I got to show off some of the cool new things that Fratmen has to offer in the coming weeks like the Podcast and a few other amazing things we have up our sleeve.

I got to see my boss make goo-goo eyes at a guy who was making goo-goo eyes back at him.

All in all, it was a good show, and the amazing GWB closing party was worth the whole thing.. getting to meet new people in a very friendly and laid back environment was amazing.. I think I made more deals at that party than anywhere else all weekend.

    so.. cool.

    I LOVED VEGAS!

Honestly, I had a BLAST up there last week.

Things I loved most about it:

    * The networking - This happened at not only the parties, but on the show floor as well, where I got to meet a lot of people I'd only been emailing or talking over the phone with.

    * The seminars - Contrary to what some might think, there were plenty of seminars last week. There were, in fact, about 6 per day, and they were VERY interesting. I went to five of them, and I loved just about all of them. Tony Lovett (my boss here at AVN Online) really made it a point to put together some very cool seminars (Mind F#ck '06 was one of the best of the lot for sure), and the one on Branding and the one on Blogging/Podcasting were AWESOME! If you missed these, shame on you. (By the way, Kelly, I didn't see you at any of the seminars. Hmmmmm... maybe you would have liked them more if you had attended them. Haha)

    * The people - It was just great to hang out with the people that I did. I met a lot of them at parties, but we hung out beyond that as well, and that was really cool.

While it may be true that the show was smaller this year, it is also true that CES and AEE were going on at the same time. Bad planning? Perhaps. Next year should be much better. You try things, see how they work, and then you fix the things that didn't for the next time.

The parties were the biggest thing for me, though. I did SO much networking at them, and made some good friends, I think. Even if all we had done was just get together and party, the trip would have been worth it for me.

You can NEVER count out the value of networking over alcohol. It's invaluable!

    Can't WAIT for next year!

The thing I enjoyed the most was just seeing my friends and people I do business with. I really enjoyed talking to everyone and seeing how they have been. I really did not meet many new people but that was not a big deal. I really missed the mansion party that they used to have, especially the one they had 2 years ago. That was my favorite party ever. There was plenty of room you could go outside and the mansion was so nice and I felt very comfortable being there.
