Review - Am I on the right path?

Mornin' all. Well I'm banging my head on the desk trying to design a new format for my site that I hope will look more professional and I'd appreciate any opinions you have - the good, bad, and ugly...

Do it say "trustworthy" to you?

Looks good to me, but your dark blue at the bottom is too dark for the background, least on firefox. For me, it looks tons better than what you had but merely my 2 cents.

It's not a bad design. The layout is nice and navigation is easy.

I don't know what you mean by trustworthy. The design doesn't look very professional. By that I mean it doesn't look like someone threw a lot of money at a pro designer to put it together. Does that make it more or less trustworthy? not sure really.

I don't know why in the hell it looks so different in Firefox than IE. IE it looks OK, FF seems to lose the style sheets and changes colors... errrrghhhh! Please let me know if you're looking at it through FF or IE. Is there some code I'm missing so it's compatible to both???

By trustworthy, I mean - would you look at the site and feel comfortable about making a hotel, show, tour reservation through it?

I'd replace the image salas-mcquigg2.jpg - it is very fuzzy.

I had a difficult time looking at the orange text.

The descriptive text at the very bottom (example: Grand Canyon Picnic) is next to impossible to read -- black text on an almost black (#333333) background.

Edit: I first viewed the page in Firefox, which does look different in IE.

Hmmmm, looks decent to me, but I would suggest a different design scheme for some of it. Your menu buttons along the left are particularly drab, but that's just my own personal taste. I like things to be a little flashier, with more pizzazz.

Also, some of your text doesn't sound right. For instance, it says this:

"Vegasonesource.com is gay Las Vegas and has Las Vegas Gay Pride!"

Gramatically, this is a WRETCHED sentence. It makes no sense at all. It should be rewritten to be more clear about what you are trying to say. Do you mean that Vegasonesource.com covers all of gay Las Vegas and is the online home of Las Vegas Pride? What are you trying to say?

Text is a VERY important aspect of a Web site. And if you don't know how to write correctly, people will be turned off to you b/cuz they will think you are unprofessional and amateurish.
