    Looking For A Script....

Does anyone know of a script that will let me setup say 2 or 3 products for sale on a site (each one has a different site) but manage them through a single payment system?

    So for example..

    Product1.com
    Product2.com
    Product3.com

Each time an 'order' is made to any or all of the above products the cart script will report the sale into a central database instead of three individual databases?

    Does that make sense? LOL

    Regards,

    Lee

You could use a 3rd party shopping cart, like for instance paypal would work, or any other system where they host your cart. Or maybe you can set up a common shopping site for all three of your domains and run the one shopping cart. You can easily setup subdomains and alias them so they are all on the same hosting account and then just use different pages for each shop or use php scripting to build dynamic pages depending on where you came from.

Or you can wait till someone gives you a better idea in this thread...that might be your best option

    cheers,
    Luke

Nope but I know a place you can put out the project for bid and coders/programmers will bid on it.

Hmmm it seems like you could put a cart in a directory and link to it from other sites, or as mentioned you might be able to have a custom script done.

Can't you have the products in a central place - like the sex toy stores, and you have links that go to the specific product on the other domains?

Let me see if I understand.

You want to put product A on site A.
You want to put product B on site B.
You want to put product C on site C.

You want the 'checkout' to be on site D.
You want the information kept on site D.
You want the payment transaction to be on site D.

    Correct?

    Nope.

    Product A on Domain A
    Product B on Domain B
    Product C on Domain C

All of them have their own 'checkout' although in reality it should just be a simple order form that passes the individual produt info a well as payment info to the processor.

Once a sale has been made on any of the domain / produts then that info is passed back to Domain C and stored.

?? would it work for the product section or individual item
to be within a frame - thereby appear to actually be ON
whatever site purchaser was viewing but behind the scenes
it's actually SITTING somewhere else (site C)... so the actual
data would be collected on site C

or couldn't there be a site D (catalog) where all products
and sales took place - and any customer clicking a product
on site A - B - C would be told (or not) that they are being
redirected to store D a subsidary of site A (etc.)

    Thanks for the advice all!

We actually found the simplest solution through PayPal - thanks Chili... I'm so adult market minded, I forgot we could use them on this project LOL

Mind you we own a programming service company. I just didn't want to reinvent the wheel - that drives me nuts

Again, thanks for all the good info!

    My best,
    Gary-Alan

GA - if you use PayPal.com just be sure it's not at all on an
adult related project and that you do not use an eMail address
associated with or mentioned on the net in conjunction with
    any adult projects...

    best wishes...
