Niches That Arent As Big As They Should Be And Why?

So ive been doing a little research for the past few hours on the various niches we have to promote at the present time and its actually quite amazing the amount of them that are still relatively untapped despite them being around for many years.

The first one that came to mind was the 4women marketplace, there are still only a handfull of sites catering excluively to female surfers and, its been like this for as long as i can remember.

To me, this is just plain crazy, there are statistics available to show that a lot of women surf porn sites and, id venture a guess that the numbers are actually higher than what have been published yet, sponsors still dont appear to be fully targetting this area of online porn.

Also, on the gay side of things, there seems to be a lack of good interracial paysites, you'd figure with the ethnic niches being as popular as they are (latino, ebony, asian, white guys, etc) that at least one sponsor would have made a really nice interracial site that featured more than just black guys and white guys fucking :eek:

As much as we [the industry] drives technology on the web, it really is amazing that some of the simpler stuff we just let go by the roadside.

What niches (gay and straight) have you folks found to be severely under-developed for a long time and, what do you attribute this to?

i'm not sure if i am understanding the question when you say what "niches" or did you mean to say what "target audience" is "untapped and/or underdeveloped.

in regards to niches just about everything has been done ( that's legal ) so other than "sexwithyourcellphone.com" i'm sure someone will think of something "unique" they always do.

in regards to "target audiences" i believe the most undertapped is the teen market , i have this accomplished with mainstream but finding it difficult to approach in adult probably because the majority of them are already having sex so why pay , their living at home and/or budgets are controled by mom and dad , it's hard to entice a teen without using another teen and/or an xb*x ( you can catch a few adults with this as a prize too! )

in regards to women my experience with them is that they are not as "sexually-titilated" by graphic sex as men are and i do better at catching them with gift/home items than porn. ( i also do not believe that pl*ygirl is purchased by only women )
a women here would probably be better at answering this question

I would say that there's also a serious lack of *good* gay toonage and gay hentai, (not sure if gay hentai is actually the correct term...), with affiliate programs.

As for what do I attribute this to...Well for starters, probably any serious or good artists for gay toonage of any flavour is more interested in print work. And those that do publish their stuff online are of the its a hobby/got to give it away because I can't bear to charge people for it mindset.

I could be way off base on those points though.

I found no decent site catering to police fantasies. There are tons of surfers looking for "gay police porn" and I couldn't find a single decent site focusing on that. Found 5-6 military sites, but my stats show me that more people are looking for police porn than military porn.
