Well let's say you had a site that had no age verification door. If you are arrested by federal agents, what specific federal law would you be breaking?Originally Posted by collegeboyslive

Then I would charge the parents for child neglect, rather than charge the webmasters. Child protection software is easy to get and use, same as gun locks, and the Internet was not designed for 8 year olds. If you can not control/monitor your children that’s not my problem. The whole world does not have to be designed for 10 year old viewers.
Really if I find out some parents are looking the other way and letting their kids look at porn online I think I would report their ass. The same way I would if they where playing with a gun that their parents did not take the time to secure properly.
We all do not live in a pokemon world after all :baby:
Of course there are many "wankers" only. But it is very ok, if they come back. That will boost the traffic and makes the site more popular. This will have effect to SE rankings and so on. And ever the so called "wankers" will buy a membership, if they find a model they like to see all of.Originally Posted by Huskyhunks
The sites are all sponsors (of course all sites of our company, I am working for).
Well, I am living and working in the Netherlands. It's not a problem here to do this. But you are right, think about your laws at your location carefully. I wouldn't risk anything against the law.Originally Posted by collegeboyslive

What are the taxes like in Amsterdam?
Ouw - a lot of paper work and a charge of about 260 EURO. If you are working as an employee it would be much easier to get a work permit here. As a self employee it would be better to build your own small company here (and more of paper work again). But in detail, I can not tell you exactly.Originally Posted by New Guy
Taxes depend on your income. Somewhere between 25 and 35%. And dont forget you need a health insurance!Originally Posted by New Guy
Well this thread has sure been hijacked. I just posed that question not as a debate.... just as a question. Obviously Congress thought the existing federal laws on obsenity were inadequate... so they passed COPA in the 1990s. Then the Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional in 2003.Originally Posted by collegeboyslive
So I have to ask... what federal laws would the DOJ have to prosecute a webmaster for not having a age verification door? Now obviously some local prosecuter can confront you, like that guy in Florida who sent porn to the soldiers in Iraq. But as far as federal laws enforced by the DOJ, I think they are mostly involving making, possessing and distributing child porn. I just bring that up because I'm just a little skeptical about being sold a bill of goods from some software scumpanies.
It's like with the Bird Flu... as what point does a legitimate scientific risk become overreaction and hysteria?

That’s not so bad as long as I can take off for expenses, If the government in the US gets really strict it would be worth the trouble. Hell if they handcuff the US webmasters I could make a fortune in a “free” country by bring able to do allot of things they could not. Its really funny to me that as a US citizen I am looking to immigrating to other countries to have more freedoms. Not 100% sure what I will do yet but if I start to see allot of “Disney” porn sites I will move to another place, for me my work comes first. I would hope allot of countries would welcome me, I would not be taking their jobs, and adding to their economies. :devil:Originally Posted by Lippi
