A webmaster today suggested I make free hosted sites. I actually have not heard of these until he brought them up. Here is an example http://hfslinks.com/topbucks/gayblin...ndex.php?16137 It is like a mini free hosted site. Does anyone have any input on these good or bad?
It seems like they would be a good idea.

Yep we're working on a bunch of them for Condom Cash at the moment.
The problem with them is, many webmasters in the industry today simply dont understand the marketing mechanisms behind free sites in fact, id go as far as saying many of them havent even built a free site themselves which i think would present some problems when it came to affiliates using them as a marketing tool.
That being said, there are plenty of affiliates who have been around long enough to know how hosted free sites can be used to supplement their income hence, why we're going to be adding them to Condom Cash

I'd have to dig around a little, but someone also has a fake tgp site full of their galleries that an affiliate can use, and gets credit from any sales made off stuff in it.
hunkmoney has free hosted sites (eg: http://www.boy-web.com/sites/bigstif...dex.php?512345) and a mini tgp site (http://www.boy-web.com/index.php?512345) that affiliates can link to and get 100% credit for all sales.
Pierre, to clarify, free hosted sites means they are hosted by the affiliate program owners for all their affiliates to use for free. The affiliate program owners pay for the hosting.

We offer free hosted sites for webmasters to use as sales tools. They do quite well and webmasters can use them in any number of ways to help webmasters make sales. If you decide to offer free hosted sites you might want give them some ideas on how to use them. Otherwise they might think they can't use them if they don't have a hub, LL, directory/SE, etc.

yes, but it costs you money for bandwidth, so it's best to make sure they are good enough to make some sales AND attractive enough to attract webmasters.

However, you can have 3 times the amount of marketing materials on a free site plus, the traffic is more sustained than on TGPs.
In essence, if i build and submit a free site today, im going to see long term residual sales from it for as long as the free site remains on my server.

Hmm, seems like another layer added between the surfer and the sign up form. I do like the fact that if you have multiple sites, you can market alot more freely, not having to abide by link list, aen, or tgp rules.

Plus, if you only have 10 sets of content, in reality, on free sites, you could use those same 10 sets thousands of times but just targetting different keywords and so long as the colors change on the site, the chances are, surfers hitting them arent going to know you used the same 10 sets on thousands of free sites
More than anything though, i like (as you said) the fact that im only restricted by 'rules' that i set, if i want to use consoles on every page, i can, if i want to put a banner below every set of thumbs, i can.

Ah, that was you with the tgp hooked up to affiliates - !! Knew it was available and I was using it, but couldn't come up with what program off the top of my head.
We're talking about free sites, a method used to filter your traffic and usually consist of an index page, a main page and then 2 gallery pages. They are usually built into subfolders off of a domain you already own, probably one that is running as a tgp or linklist type website at its root.
You can build a circle jerk of free sites using an adult free hosting service, but then you're giving away advertising space by using them.
what i don't get is, how do you get traffic to a free site? if you're not going to submit it to a link list or an AVS? are we talking only SE hits? If so, is that even significant to make decent sales?
