    Banana Pudding

I'm not much of a popcorn eater. So in watching last night's election returns on CSPAN, I figured nothing would be better than a nice banana pudding.

This one turned out very nice. I didn't overdo the meringue, and the pudding turned out muy bueno.

The Butcher finished off the box of Nilla Wafers.

    Where you from?

That don't look like no TEXAS `nanner puddin'. That's more, Virginia style, cause TEXANs put Cool Whip on theirs. They put freakin' pickel relish and hard boiled eggs in about everything too. Oh, and Crisco is a food group.

    Or is that the Okies?

Man I'm a long way from crepe susette, prepared table-side, at The Four Seasons. :sun:

But I digress .. as usual

That's ONE FINE lookin' piece of de-sert. You have a nice touch with the broiler. So? Come on over, I'll pull out the good china and put on a pot of coffee. Should only take you about 6 hours, don't speed through Bellvue.

    Hugs

    Squirt - I'm single.

Although I did teach myself to cook in my 20s because that certainly does add value to yourself in a relationship.

    Madame:

    Cool whip on banana pudding????

Where the hell are you eating? Furrs Cafeteria? Cracker Barrel? :spook:

FYI - that * is * a tangerine fiestaware pie baker behind the pudding.

    Y'all

That is pretty much the recipe on the box of Nilla Wafers. Surely there aren't big variations on the dessert..... or are there?

The recipe I uses is pretty standard....except the recipe i used on TexasCooking.com uses a 9 x 9 baking dish... and the pudding instructions are easier....

Oh i love me some banana pudding. I much prefer the cooked dish to the instant and yours looks yummy. That's a mighty big serving. Did you get a tummy ache ?
