    htaccess permanent redirect

    Hi all,

I'm shutting down one of my domains and moving the sites to one of my other domains. I'm trying to set up a permanent redirect so that folder A on the old site goes to folder A on the new site, and so on for each gallery. This is what I've done, but it's not working.

    Redirect permanent / http://www.newsite.com/index2.html
    Redirect permanent /gallerya http://www.newsite.com/gallerya/index.html/

    Any thoughts?

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

    Give this a try

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule ^/oldfolder(.*)$ /newfolder/$1 [R]
That will (should) redirect /oldfolder/ to /newfolder/

If that doesnt work check with your host about the rules they have set for .htacess.

    Regards,

    Lee
