Stupid question?

I know I should know this but it has really never come up yet, how do I take a screen snapshot in jpg or gif? I have both IE and Firefox with XP pro

For full screen
ctrl + print screen

For active window
alt + print screen


You can also get a screen capture program such as Capture from analogx.com
